With the growing demand of Net Zero Banking, this workshop introduces the principles of transition to net zero against the backdrop of the Nationally Defined Contributions (NDCs) as set out in the Paris Agreement. The Introduction to Net Zero Banking & The Circular Economy Workshop will consider the types of commitments that banks are making and the challenges to achieving them.

The workshop will further consider the actions that banks’ clients can take to improve their sustainability footprint with respect to resource consumption and natural capital, and how banks can support them.

Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants will be able to:
o Explain the strategies and challenges of ‘net zero’ commitments
o Explain how the circular economy relates to bank balance sheet transition
o Understand how banks can support businesses in their transition to the circular economy

Working professionals and executives in financial institutions, insurance, policy, pension funds, with a focus on sustainability and ESG compliant developments.
