    This programme is designed as a foundation course for participants who may have a limited knowledge of securitisation and covered bonds. It provides a robust introduction to the fundamental elements of securitisation and covered bonds issued by a bank.

    Day One will focus on history and basic definitions relating to securitisation, the structure of an asset backed security, the effects of tranching, credit enhancement and mortgage backed securities.

    Day Two will focus on the fundamentals of retail ABS structures and asset classes, examines the history and basic definitions relating to covered bonds, the structure, monitoring, and investor consideration of a covered bond.
